You can see the lights all the way from Jersey.
Spider-Noir was filmed on the backlots of two major studios, Warner Bros. and Universal Studios. The backlots at Universal Studios are some of the best-known façades, having been seen in hundreds of films and television shows, including Back to the Future, as well as Spider-Man 2, The Amazing Spider-Man, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, and Captain America: The First Avenger.
Rooftop Spider (Episode 1)
The iconic image of The Spider standing on a rooftop in the rain was filmed on the western portion of Universal’s New York Street.

Silvermane Mansion & Alley (Episode 1)
Donegal meets Ben outside the burned-down ruins of Silvermane’s mansion, before Ben parts ways down a nearby alley.
This sequence was filmed on Universal’s Brownstone Street, looking north. Silvermane’s mansion and the building beyond it were inserted via visual effects, covering the park that exists there in real life. Ben takes the alley towards Wall Street, which has a digital replacement of the buildings on the other side.

Construction Site Alley, New York (Episode 1)
The end of episode 1 features Ben being tailed by Flint Marko. They head down an alley on their way to a nearby construction site.
This alley is the largest on the Universal Studios backlot, and is located between Modern New York Street and Park Avenue, with an entrance off of New York Street.

Street & Park, Harlem (Episode 4)
Seeking a story about the powered individuals currently in town, Robbie heads to Harlem and questions a local about the whereabouts of any veterans.

Diamond District, New York (Episode 4)
Episode 4 features a big fight between Ben, as The Spider, and Leydon, who calls himself Megawatt, in the diamond district.
This extended sequence takes place on Universal’s New York Street, near the intersection with Wall Street, the same place where the final battle of the series would take place.
MAP
Riverside Park, New York (Episode 7)
Ben and Robbie take a breather from recent events and sit in a park by the East River.
This sequence has the most digital background replacement of any shot in the first season. This was filmed on the south end of Universal’s Courthouse Square (just outside the courthouse from Back to the Future). For the shot behind them, all of the buildings across the street were replaced, while the reverse angle only needed to replace the skyline above the buildings.

Final Battle Street, New York (Episode 8)
The season ends with a massive battle between The Spider versus Megawatt and the Sandman, with unexpected repercussions.
The intersection of Universal’s New York Street and Wall Street hosted this battle. The production appears to have built a portion of a train trestle above the street to alter the geography somewhat.
