Worried that both the police and Stokes’ thugs will be coming for Scarfe, Luke loads him and Claire into a van borrowed from Soledad Temple and tries to transport the injured detective to One Police Plaza to confess to his and Cottonmouth’s crimes.
Streets
A pair of Stokes’ thugs picks up the “green van” and begins following it. Luke tries to lose them by making several turns, but to no avail.
The various shots are as follows: heading south on Broadway, approaching E 4th Street in Greenwich Village. There’s an unpictured shot of the van at Broadway and Spring Street when Luke exclaims, “Traffic sucks.”

Claire tells Luke to make a “sharp right,” and he turns off of Spring Street by the Duane Reade onto Lafayette Street in SoHo. They continue on Lafayette, approaching Kenmare Street.

Luke then makes a left onto 5th Ave from E 14th Street in Greenwich Village.

A scene that was presumably originally from later in the sequence has the van making a left off White St into Cortlandt Alley in Chinatown.

Alleys
Luke takes some more evasive turns and enters a series of alleys. In reality, these are all varying shots of the same alleyway, Cortlandt Alley. The van turns left off White Street into Cortlandt Alley and is headed either north or south through the alley, depending on the shot. The final two images show both vehicles turning left out of Cortlandt Alley onto Franklin Street.

Shootout Alley
Luke turns into a super-narrow alley where the thugs hop out of the SUV and open fire on the van. Fortunately, Luke has broken through a nearby alley wall and escaped with Claire and Scarfe in tow.
This shootout occurs at Benson Place and Franklin Street, not in the Bowery as reported on Misty’s radio.

Final Alley
Luke helps the other through a series of basement tunnels as they near One Police Plaza. He stays behind to stop the gun-toting thugs while Claire and Scarfe are nearly hit by the SUV. Fortunately, Luke gets there in time to stop the vehicle from doing any bodily harm.
Luke emerges from the metal basement door (seen in the street view below) at the building that used to be at 59 Franklin Street. The remainder of the final sequence, with the death of Scarfe, happens on Benson Place looking south toward Leonard Street.
