Establishing

The camera shows a nighttime aerial view of a small town identified as Rhinebeck, New York, which is a small town just East of the Hudson River and about halfway between New York City and Albany.

The aerial shots are stock footage over the similarly laid out town of Lockport, Illinois, just a bit southwest of Chicago. The spire of the St. Dennis Catholic Church can be seen in parts of the shot. The footage also appears to have been darkened for this episode.

A second aerial establishing shot, a little later in the episode, is from another town entirely. This dusky shot, focusing on a parking lot with some towering buildings in the background, comes from a piece of stock footage overlooking Madison, NJ. The two buildings in the background are the Madison Joint Municipal Court & Violations Bureau and the Presbyterian Church of Madison. This exact same piece of stock footage may be better known as “Rosewood, PA” in the television show Pretty Little Liars.
