Mariah Dillard’s Brownstone, Harlem | MCU Location Scout

Mariah gives a television interview outside her brownstone.

You know, my Harlem is saturated with jazz, and good food, and the pure genius that permeates the streets.

Exterior

Luke Cage happens by Mariah’s brownstone as a television crew is capturing footage for an interview to air later. Later, councilman Damon Boone stops by to publicly voice his support for Mariah, even though privately he believes she should step down.

This historic Harlem brownstone is located on W 121st Street just up the block from Marcus Garvey Park. It’s also the same exterior used for Sherlock’s Brownstone in the TV series Elementary.

Interior

Later in episode 6, Mariah has reporter Thembi Wallace over to interview her. Throughout the remainder of the season, Mariah has several other visitors, including Shades and Daimondback.

The interior of the brownstone was most likely filmed on a soundstage, but there is a slim chance that it may have been filmed at the same location as the exterior scenes. If it was recreated on a soundstage, the production team did a tremendous job recreating the windows and other elements at the front door to the brownstone.
