Interior

The Chikara Dojo, owned and operated by Coleen Wing, is a major location for Season 1. It is both a training facility and apartment for Colleen and Danny (and occasionally Claire).

Colleen’s Dojo interior was filmed on the Broadway Stages as one of their standing sets for the season.

Exterior, Street, & Alley

Besides exterior establishing shots of the Dojo, the 47 Monroe Street location features in several other sequences. In episode 2, Danny is spotted leaving the Dojo by some Rand security guards, who chase him into the nearby Mechanics Alley (and into Chinatown). Episode 9 has Danny running into Joy at the corner of Monroe and Market (outside the Food King at 56 Market Street). And then in episode 12, Danny and Colleen return to the Dojo, only to be chased away again by law enforcement officials.

THE DEFENDERS SEASON 1

Serving, once again, as the home base for Colleen Wing and Danny Rand, her Dojo also hosts a visit from Luke Cage and Claire Temple as they begin to investigate the strange occurrences related to The Hand.

The same exterior location is used for The Defenders as was used in Iron Fist, 47 Monroe Street in Two Bridges. Once again, the interior was part of a standing set, as many apartment and office locales have been in the Netflix series.
