Matt, with Vladimir on his back, enters a doorway labeled 202 to hide from the police, who believe the “Man in Black” is responsible for the bombings. Later, the ESU team arrives and busts in the door to enter this abandoned warehouse, located at the “northwest corner of 47 and 12,” according to Officer Sullivan.

This abandoned warehouse doorway is the entrance to Coffey Street Studios in Red Hook, the same location that portrayed the Russian warehouse in the previous episode. Matt is entering through the door on the southwest side of the building, which is labeled “202.” The police seem to be coming through the door to the right of the one Matt used.

Police Response

Police respond to the reports of Officer Sullivan, and two squad cars tear around a corner onto a New York street.

This quick shot with the police cars was filmed on 35th Avenue & Farrington Street, in Flushing, Queens. The shot is looking north on Farrington as the cars turn off of 35th.

Exterior Two

The police show up outside the warehouse, along with Detective Blake and Hoffman–and reporter Ben Urich. They set up a cordon and allow the news media to report live. Later, Blake and two other officers are shot by a sniper hired by Wilson Fisk to place the blame on the “man in black.”

Presumably, this location was used for the wider exteriors since it looked more like the city–as opposed to a warehouse by the East River, which is what the Coffey Street Studio is. The production set up and filmed outside 270 Meserole Street at the corner of Bushwick Place, in Brooklyn, for the remaining sequences in the episode (except the ESU Team entering, which used the Coffey Street location above).

Rooftop Sniper

A sniper, hired by Fisk, climbs to the top of a building near the abandoned warehouse and shoots Detective Blake and two other officers.
