About one year after becoming a super soldier, Steve joins up with the US Army in their basecamp in the Italian Woods, about 5 miles from the front. It’s from here he learns that a number of 107th have been captured and are being held in a HYDRA Factory in Krausberg.
The locations for the forests of Italy were filmed in the Bourne Wood in Farnham, a familiar location which was also later used in Thor: The Dark World, and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
