In a one-shot sequence at the opening of the film, the Avengers finish taking out the rest of HYDRAs forces near their home base in Sokovia. The Bourne Wood was used for shots in this first part of the sequence. This is the third time this location has been used after Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor: The Dark World.

Later in the battle against HYDRA, Hawkeye comes up against a bunker, but for some reason unknown to him, his arrows don’t cause it to explode. The Hawley Woods in Farnborough, Hampshire, UK is the location of the later wooded battle and the HYDRA bunker scenes.
