Exterior Lyric Theater, text: The Importance of Being Earnest.

I’m sorry, sir. No one will be seated after the doors are closed.

Peter attends (or tries to attend) Mary Jane’s performance in The Importance of Being Earnest, but is shut out by the snooty usher. Later, Peter watches from a stoop across the street as MJ comes out and is greeted by John Jameson, her new boyfriend.

Like a number of other “New York” elements, the exterior of the Theater was filmed on the Universal Studios New York Street backlot. It looks a little bit different than the same location today due to the building being rebuilt after a 2008 studio fire.
