Police officials and citizens alike are reacting to the rise of brazen crime in the Little Sicily neighborhood.
With the death of the Gnucci crime family, crime is on the rise in the fictional Little Sicily neighborhood of New York. Rioters attack people on the street in broad daylight. It also becomes the setting for one of the most amazing sequences in any recent Marvel Television program as The Punisher reclaims those lawless streets and saves a family.
A small section of over two blocks of the Richmond Hill neighborhood on Hillside Avenue/117th Street at Myrtle Avenue was used by the production to create a riot zone. It was an amazing use of a larger section of the city to depict the violence inherent in a Punisher story. Based on the geography of the scene, Frank’s apartment building would be located on the east side of the intersection at Myrtle Avenue. As it is, those apartments were filmed elsewhere, in East Harlem.

Gnucci’s Restaurant
The episode opens and closes outside the defunct Gnucci’s restaurant, where a punk kills a homeless veteran’s dog, and is then later punished by Frank Castle.
Additionally, during Ma Gnucci’s telling of the tragic deaths of her family, the murder of Eddie takes place in front of this restaurant.
This storefront is located at 117-13 Hillside Avenue, the northerly end of the filming zone for the riots.

Dre’s Donut Shop
Dre, a family man and father of Charli, owns a Donut (and Coffee) Shop where Frank gets his daily. He and his wife, Debbie, are taken hostage by rioters, with Frank stepping in to save them from tragedy.
This shop used the storefront, which is now the Sweet Bakery at 117-02 Jamaica Avenue in Richmond Hill. This location is at the southern end of the filming area.
