Frank Castle. I need your help, Frank. You see my family was taken.

After the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Frank has moved into a new apartment complex, which he uses as his home base. This building becomes the setting for an amazing third-act battle between Frank and dozens of would-be bounty hunters.

The 1199 Housing Plaza, at 2080 1st Ave in East Harlem, was used for the filming of Frank’s building and its epic fight sequence. The middle of the three nearly identical complexes was used for the quad area where Frank and Ma Gnucci have their discussion. To tie this location into the downtown Little Sicily street (filmed elsewhere), a pair of school buses was filmed in a service entrance off of Tito Puente Way on the east side of the third complex. The reverse angles of these buses were shot at the Little Sicily location to make it appear as if Frank’s building was near the rest of the action.

The interiors of Frank and Isaiah’s apartments were most likely filmed on the soundstages at Silvercup East, given the violence, destruction, and fire used during the filming. The hallway shots could have been filmed at either the Housing Plaza or the soundstages, as no further information is available at this time.
