The cold open of episode 5 has the members of the Hand tightening their grip around The Defenders. Madame Gao exits a store in Chinatown and drives away.

The store she and her team exited is at 11 Eldridge Street (known at the time as Ling & Ling Trading Inc.) just across the street from the Eldridge Street Synagogue.
