Luke and Claire stop off at the church that belonged to Luke’s father (and grandfather), finding it disheveled, but still full of the answers he needs.

According to a report from DNA Info, this sequence was meant to be filmed in White Plains, but the location fell through. The production found an old church at 327 Bolton Avenue in The Bronx that they could spiff up and dirty down. Both the exterior and interior were filmed at this same location.
