In episode 5, Claire visits her mother, Soledad, at the diner where she works. In the following episode, Claire meets Luke (who’s eating with Bobby), and the two catch up. In episode 9, Luke finds Claire at the diner and reveals he has a grievous wound that he needs her help with.
The now-closed Dorian Cafe, at the corner of 50th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City, was where this diner existed. The name of the diner comes from the back of Soledad’s van, which she lets Claire borrow in episode 6.
