Momentum Alternate Energy Labs, Pasadena | MCU Location Scout

And who knows what kind of weapon they stole from the energy lab in Pasadena.

The ghost of Lucy Bauer makes her way back to a lab she used to work at, freeing other members of her team who have been trapped in an energy matrix. They vow to get even with someone and set the power consoles to explode.

INTERIOR

The interior hallways for the Energy Lab appear to have been filmed at an actual office building. It was initially presumed that it was the same location as the exterior, but those buildings do not appear to have a second story.

QUANTUM GENERATOR and LABORATORY

The Quantum Generator room is a soundstage construction, given that such a device does not exist in the real world, and that Agents of SHIELD Season Four Declassified mentions that this was filmed on Stage 15. The quantum silo, and the room around it, were redressed for it’s multiple appearances this season. The Lab seen in a flashback in episode 6 is a redress of the Generator room and a set at the Culver Studios. This same room was also transformed into the Generator room at the Roxxon Power Plant later in the season.

EXTERIOR

Episode 6 features a flashback to “back in the day,” showing the outside of the Momentum Energy Labs.

This was a difficult location to track down, as there is nothing that provides much of a clue to the location. As the camera descends and turns, showing Eli’s car pulling into the parking spot, a large white pipe and two smaller white spires are seen sticking above the building. Those looked like exhaust vents or towers from a refinery. Researching the location for the Roxxon Power Station later in this episode led to the realization that probably all the scenes were filmed at the same location. This small parking lot is just off Force Main Road at the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant (JWPCP) in Carson, California.
