The quick establishing shot above is of an apartment building at the corner of N. Larchmont Boulevard at Melrose Ave. Technically, the building is in Los Angeles, straddling the border with Hollywood. It’s not quite North Hollywood, but close enough for these purposes. One might assume, given the location, that the production company would have filmed the footage firsthand. Not this time, as the footage is a stock shot filmed sometime around 2009, based on the buildings seen on the right-hand side of the frame.
