Jemma Simmons Apartment

After not seeing the real Jemma Simmons for a couple of episodes, she shows up here getting ready for work. Her apartment is part of a soundstage, and not a real location. Some employment paperwork seen later in the episode gives her In-Universe address as 1150 N. Hearne Drive, 2C, Crosswell, Delaware.

Sidewalk

As “God Help the Girl” by God Help the Girl plays on the soundtrack, Simmons walks along a sidewalk eating her breakfast sandwich.

To discover this strip of street, it might have been easy for someone to recognize the old Variety Arts Building that Simmons walks by (seen later in the season as the interior of a Puerto Rico theater). But without that major clue, how does one look for this? The two major clues were the direction the sun was coming in and the one-way street sign immediately above the crosswalk box in the last image. From there, it was a brute force search of intersections in Downtown Los Angeles. Simmons was walking south on Figueroa from 9th Street.

Park

Simmons continues her walk to work through a small park.

This final shot of her walk into the office was filmed at the sliver of a park just south of, and inside the property for, the Los Angeles Center Studios, which doubled as the HYDRA office building and lobby, at W 5th Street and S Beaudry Avenue.
