Establishing Shots

A pair of establishing shots set the stage for the location where Agent Garrett has gone into hiding. Both pieces of imagery are stock footage. The aerial shot above is Havana, Cuba, focused on La Casa Del Habano in the lower left, while the one below is an unnamed street in Havana.

The establishing shot from episode 21 below is a view of Mirador de la Bahia La Habana and seafront promenade seen from El Morro Fortress.

Habana Vieja Barberia

After breaking Raina out of prison, Ward brings her to a small Cuban barber shop to meet with the Clairvoyant. This shop is revisited by Ward in episode 21, where the name of the shop is seen on exterior shots.

While South Central LA may not look like Cuba, it sure is more convenient. The Precision Vision Beauty and Barber Salon, on Jefferson Blvd, stood in for the covert entrance to HYDRA’s underground base. Shots of the underground portion of this lair were shot on soundstages. At present, the actual business has moved three blocks East to 3028 W Jefferson.
