The legend of the ten rings has been told for thousands of years.
The film open with Wenwu and his Ten Rings army on a large plain attacking a fortress and opposing army. A subsequent shot shows the leader of the Ten Rings using his mystical objects to destroy soldiers in a snowy forest.
The scenes of Wenwu and his army on horseback, plus the battle in the snowy forest were filmed in Centennial Park in Sydney, Australia. Much digital set extension and other tricks were utilized to make this prologue full of epic spectacle. A great behind-the-scenes article at Befores and Afters describes how these moments were created.
