Kind of a step down from the golden palaces and the magic hammers and whatnot.
Road to New Asgard
Rocket and Smart Hulk hitch a ride in a truck on their way to find Thor. Thanks to MovieMaps for finding this location.
New Asgard, Tønsberg, Norway
The stand-in for the town of Tønsberg in the film is the seaside community of St. Abbs in Scotland. The specific building that Hulk and Rocket enter looking for Thor, was called the Cormorant & Tun Pub for the film.
For Thor: Love and Thunder footage of St. Abbs was combined with the village set location in Sydney and other backgrounds (including cruise ships) to create a new, touristy version of New Asgard.
Thor puts Valkyrie in charge before leaving New Asgard. This scene was shot on a hill overlooking the town of St Abbs. It was also filmed early in the production while the crew was in Scotland filming scenes for Avengers: Infinity War.
(Avengers: Endgame, 2019)
New Asgard is a central location in the fourth Thor film, subtitled Love and Thunder. It contains a mix of locations to depict the Norwegian village listed below.
The village of New Asgard has grown immensely since Avengers: Endgame, having become a tourist destination. A nearly full practical town was erected at the Potts Hill Reservoir #1, just west of Sydney, Australia.
Plateau, Mjolnir Shrine, Mighty Thor Statue
For scenes on the plateau just outside the village, including the stage for the play, the Mjolnir Shrine, the Mighty Thor statue and Valkyrie training the kids, the production shot at Little Bay, New South Wales next to the Coast Golf and Recreation Club.
