Wars are fought with weapons, but they are won by men.
Recruited by Dr Erskine and Colonel Phillips, Steve takes part in a series of basic training exercises with other candidates for the Super Soldier program.
The majority of the sequences with the recruits were filmed in Black Park, which is adjacent to the Pinewood Studios location that was used for much of the filming.
Camp Lehigh Flagpole
On a long run, the candidates are given a chance to snatch a flag off a pole for a free ride back to base with Agent Carter. After everyone else fails, Steve tries a unique approach to the task and succeeds. This one sequence of the Camp Lehigh montage was shot stateside, at Disney’s Golden Oak Ranch, rather than in the UK.
