They got the shooter. He’s headed south on Fifth Avenue.
Returning to the library and finding Uncle Ben dead, Peter takes off after his killer, who also stole the family car. Still clad in his home-made wrestling costume Peter swings through the city as the mugger drives away.
Much of the film’s action moments were not filmed on the streets of New York, for logistical reasons. That’s the case with this chase sequence which was shot in Los Angeles.
A number of locations make up this sequence including:
- The car careening around a corner at Spring and 5th St, Los Angeles
- Swinging down W 5th St towards Broadway, Los Angeles
- Splash thru puddle outside the Alexandria Hotel, on S. Spring St
- Jumping over the Bridge W 4th St, looking South on Grand Ave
- Continuing West on W 5th St
