Not wanting to use his apartment to create his self-tape audition, Simon takes Trevor with him to Ahoy Tapes, a self-tape studio.

While no such business as Ahoy Tapes exists, the location does appear to be a film and video production studio of some kind. The New Star Plaza, at the corner of Vermont and West 8th Street, does have YouStar Media on the second floor, where Trevor and Simon stop to make their self-tape.
