In this cut scene, referred to as “The Mission,” Sam spars with Leila as he tries to get intel from her about some mercenaries in Mexico. This appears to have been a scene that would have occurred at the beginning of the film and would have led to Sam going up against the Serpent Society.

The shot opens somewhere over Southeast Washington, DC, looking west towards the US Capitol and the Washington Monument. As it tilts down, there is a digital edit that occurs, changing the location to an unknown street corner where Clay’s gym is shown. The switch comes in the middle image, below, where the Christ our Shepherd Church (on the top right) is part of DC, but everything else is the second, unknown location.

The interior of the gym was filmed at the Decatur Boxing Club, 137 New St in Decatur, GA. This was the same gym that filled in for an Illinois boxing ring where Maya was training, in Hawkeye episode 3.
