Welcome to the inside of my mind sheeple.

In an attempt to track down the location of the Darkhold, Coulson and his team stake out The Soul Patch, a poetry club where LT Koenig was last seen.

INTERIOR

Thurston, the fourth Koenig brother, is performing for a sparse audience when LT Koenig attacks Agent Davis. Coulson enters and tells her to stand down.

It took a bit of time to figure out the location of this club. The biggest clue was the apparent safety deposit boxes on the wall by the bar. This is The Reserve, a club & restaurant created from a bank located at 650 S. Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles. This room is the first vault in the bank containing safety deposit boxes. Another “door” leads deeper into the vault, complete with a giant metal door. The Majestic Downtown, the name for the public area of the bank, also appeared in this episode as the Pleasant Hill Public Library. The Reserve also served as the Transhumanist Club in Agents of SHIELD season 3.

While Daisy and Davis check out the club, Coulson and Agent May (who has secretly been replaced by an LMD) share a tender moment over coffee while waiting in their car outside.

An out-of-focus night street. Who could hope to find it? Never fear, MCU Location Scout to the rescue! Is it weird to say the light patterns of the buildings seem familiar? The vehicle is parked on Main Street (prior to it being converted into a plaza), looking northwest across Culver Boulevard in Culver City, just a block from the production studios.
