Tell me again how you ended up dangling off a building?

The episode opens with Matt having kidnapped Fisk’s fixer, Felix Manning. He roughs him up a bit and then throws him off the rooftop. Luckily, Daredevil doesn’t kill, and Manning is saved by a rope. Detective Mahoney and the NYPD find him the next morning. Later in the episode, Matt makes a phone call to Dex from the southeast corner of the rooftop.

How do you find a rooftop in a city with thousands of them? The answer is very carefully. The clues are usually there; it’s just being able to decipher what is shown. Luckily, this rooftop had both day and nighttime scenes to help. A large building behind Matt (in the 2nd image below) seemed conspicuous–of course it was, it’s 30 Rock! From there, it was pretty easy to find this rooftop at 20 W 44th Street. The rooftop veranda at the Harvard Club of New York City building (seen in the day images) helped pinpoint this place.
