Let this moment memorialize the liquidation of your very fine estate, sir.
Inventor Phineas Horton once lived in a palatial English manor before he sold it for the money to build his life’s work. That work was the synthetic automoton, Jim. There are three versions of the estate shown: 1939, a figment of Vision’s mindscape, and the modern day version, where Horton’s heir lives.
All versions of the estate were filmed at Hatfield House, a popular estate in the Harfield parish of England, and one that has appeared in numerous films and television series. Comic book fans would recognize it from Batman (1989), Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Secret Invasion.
1939
The first version of the estate shown is in 1939, when Violette Horton informs Phneas that she’s leaving for New York with their daughter Victoria.
Vision’s Mindspace
To fix his broken programming and discover something of his origins, Vision takes his mindspace elevator into the basement. From there he discovers the hallways and study of the Horton Estate. He meets with a version of Jim and Phineas and finally finds what he’s been looking for.
Modern Day
The modern day estate is seen when Paladin brings the Vision to his mysterious Client. On his way out, Paladin’s van is blown-up by a rocket fired by the Client’s security force.
