A sniper takes aim in a building across the street from the city courthouse.

Sorry, pal. Wrong Bullseye.

Powell and Fisk set up a plan to assassinate Matt Murdock on his way out of the courthouse, making it look like Bullseye took the shot. Unfortunately, they didn’t plan on the real Bullseye showing up and altering the plan.

The quick exterior shot is of a building at 48 Duane Street in Civic Center, at the corner of Duane and Center Streets.

The interiors of the sniper nest were filmed next door, at 52 Duane Street. The buildings on Duane Street and Reade Street can be seen through the windows. The “courthouse” building was a visual effect, with the Brooklyn Public Library being digitally inserted. The odd aspect is that the real US District Courthouse exists in the place where the fake courthouse was inserted. The filming appears to have taken place on the 2nd or 3rd story of the building, depending on how it defines its floors, just above the treeline.
