Daisy follows Deke through a secret door to his “opium den” containing the Framework technology, and ends up inside the simulation. She realizes that this is a simulation of what people in the future think Earth, as it used to be, is like.

This was filmed outside the Arc Light Cinemas (now the Culver Theater) in Culver City. This plaza has been used for many things on Agents of SHIELD, but was most recently seen as the plaza where Fitz met Aida in his version of the Framework. Digital effects duplicated many elements in these shots, including a building that looks very much like the Culver Hotel, which is directly behind Daisy.

Deke’s Bar, as seen in the Framework, represents his recreation of Old Earth. It was filmed in the Backstage Bar & Grill off Culver Boulevard in Culver City. This location was previously used in Season 2 as Goldbrix Tavern.
