Morrow has created a giant battery for himself, filled with quantum energy.
The conclusion of the first arc of the season takes place in a building that houses the giant Quantum Cube built by Eli Morrow. It is a space that belongs to the members of the Chinatown Crew and contains enough power to fill the quantum battery within.
INTERIOR
Often, when shows feature an exterior location, the interiors are shot in another place. In this case, the majority of the episode was filmed at the same location, the Trust Building at 433 S. Spring Street. This is currently a space that belongs to the UCLA Extension program, and was being renovated during 2016 when the episode was filmed. The distinctive columns and rectangular ceiling lights in the Cube Room can be found in several interior images of the lobby area inside the building.
For the opening scenes of Peng running through a hallway, it is assumed that they were also filmed within this building, until different information comes to light.
The basement area, where Aida sets up her “Arch-gateway thing,” may also have been filmed inside the building, but it may also have been built on the soundstages at Culver Studios.
ALLEY
The alley behind the building, called Frank Court, was where the scenes of Yo-Yo, Daisy, and Robbie were filmed. The action took place at the southwest corner of the building, closer to 453 S. Spring Street.
EXTERIOR
Exteriors are from the Spring Street side of the Trust Building, along with the parking lot on the south side. Parts of the giant horse mural on the wall of this lot can be seen above Coulson’s head. Daisy leaping off the roof also appears to have been shot on the roof of this building.
