Karen, working with Ellison from the New York Bulletin, tracks down Dr. Gregory Tepper–the coroner who fabricated a report–at room 274 of a motel to get information that could upset somebody’s apple cart. In the following episode, Karen and Ellison return to see crime scene technicians investigating Tepper’s dead body.

It’s unclear which particular motel (or hotel) these scenes were shot in. The decor does not seem to match a hotel (or Inn) that shows up later in the season.
