Ward’s HYDRA Warehouse | MCU: Location Scout

Interior of Ward's HYDRA warehouse.

Their greed splintered HYDRA into a thousand pieces. Their time is over.

As Ward rebuilds HYDRA, he finds a new warehouse that can be his headquarters. Two sequences in the new location appear in episode 2, including the harrowing car stunts driving through the narrow columns, and the torture of young Werner von Strucker.

Episode 3 contains scenes from a fight club and an attack on Agent May, which culminates with a bloodied Hunter being presented to Kebo. These are probably meant to be a different location, probably still in the Boston area.

Episode 4 has Hunter taking a ride with Kebo, who says it will be “a long ride.” They arrive at what appears to be the same primary warehouse complex seen in episode 2. It’s speculated that Ward’s HYDRA warehouse is in Maryland, due to the license plates on the getaway truck used at the end of the episode.

According to Agents of SHIELD Season Three Declassified, these scenes were filmed in the old Firestone Tire factory in Torrance (technically South Gate) in the South Gate Industrial Park. This location was used previously for scenes in Season 1 at the Todorov building, Season 2 as the factory where Ward tortures Bobbi, and in the Agent Carter series. The location was demolished sometime after Mar 2019.
