Wade relates his origin story, which has him entering his local bar–Sister Margaret’s–where he ends up meeting both Vanessa and the Recruiter.

The only exterior of this bar consist of two brief shots. The first one, below, is Wade walking through a dark alley. The second is the close-up of the door and it’s signage. Neither of these locations are known, but are assumed to be in one of Vancouvers numerous alleys–perhaps even one that was used to film some other scene.

The interiors for Sister Margaret’s were filmed on a soundstage.

Sister Margaret’s appears in two brief scenes for the sequel. One interior sequence where Wade drowns his sorrows, and an exterior where Cable observes Weasel leaving work and follows him.

The shots in the alley were filmed in an alley off Cambie Street in Vancouver, behind The Cambie Bar & Grill. Thanks to MovieMaps for giving the general alley where this exterior was shot. I was able to pinpoint it precisely.
