Russian Warehouse, Hell’s Kitchen | MCU: Location Scout

Interior of Russian warehouse.

Uh, where’s your brother?

Interior/Exterior

Much of the action of episode 5 takes place in one of the Russians’ warehouses. Vladamir discovers that his brother has been killed and mourns the decapitated body publicly in his office. The Man in Black perches on the rooftop, listening for plans of the gang’s next move. And finally, one of Gao’s delivery men stops by loaded with explosives, demolishing the entire building in Fisk’s plan to remove the Russians from the game board.

All the scenes, with the possible exception of Vladimir’s office–which may have been shot on a different soundstage, were filmed at 202 Coffey Street in Brooklyn, the former site of Coffey Street Studios. This was an old manufacturing plant, Lidgerwood Manufacturing Co. | Hoist and Machinery, that was turned into a spot for film and television production in the New York area.

Matt on the rooftop was filmed near the Ferris Street side, as seen in the Street View image below, while the fight between the Man in Black and Russians took place at a central courtyard where they detonated several boarded-up windows.

Pallet Yards

After the explosion, Matt chases a wounded Vladimir into a pallet yard and proceeds to beat the stuffing out of him. The police arrive relatively quickly and corner the Man in Black.

The text on the side of the building has been partially painted over, but the beginning and ending parts can be seen in the show. It once said “Lidgerwood Manufacturing Co. | Hoist and Machinery” as mentioned above, and is on the north side of Coffey Street Studios, as seen in the Street View below.
