The Russian mobsters beat a father and pull a young boy out of their car to bait a trap for the Man in Black.

This scene was filmed in Long Island City on Bradley Ave, at 35th Street, looking north. Part of the “Midtown Deli and Grocery” can be seen outside the driver’s side window as the father is pulled out of the car.

Rooftop

Matt, in his vigilante gear, stands atop a building in the city and listens. He hears a young boy crying out for help.

This is the first of many rooftop scenes in the show. It was filmed atop 25 Tudor City Place, at the corner of Tudor City Place and E 41st St. The building just to Matt’s left (southeast of this location) is Windsor Tower, the building used for exterior shots of the Osborn Penthouse in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy.
