DAREDEVIL SEASON 1

Exterior (Episode 1)

The Man in Black saves Karen from being killed by a hit man. In turn, he injures this man in the courtyard area next door and then dumps his body, and the evidence of a scandal, on the steps of the New York Bulletin.

This location is the very first location I found when I started creating a map of MCU Filming Locations in early 2017. This is 38 Franklin Street in Brooklyn. and the under-construction location, as seen on the September 2014 image on Google Maps, matches perfectly.

The interiors of Karen’s apartment are presumed to be a soundstage.

In episode 11, Karen’s new apartment is briefly shown as she is abducted on her way to the front door. The following episode shows more of the interior of her new apartment.

In Season 2, Episode 5, Matt walks Karen home and then from her place to the corner at Bedford Ave, where the real world comes crashing back in.

Interior (Episode 10 & 13)

Season 2 continues Karen’s horrible luck with apartments. She is living in a third location. The police escort her back under a protective detail as she is a target for the Punisher. Frank Castle arrives and protects her from someone else who shoots up her apartment. Daredevil visits three episodes later to see katana marks on the wall from Karen’s abduction at the hands of The Hand.

The apartment set in Season 2 is almost certainly a soundstage recreation, if only for the amount of bullet hits and destruction caused this season.

DAREDEVIL SEASON 3

Interior (Episode 6)

For Season 3, Karen is living in yet another apartment. This one is more spacious and contains a lot of books. In episode 6, she is startled (and then upset) when Matt climbs in through the window to ask her for a favor. Foggy shows up to check in on Karen in episode 8 (and 9)–where we learn that she’s in apartment 5A.

This location looks to be a real apartment, based on the views outside the windows, but the show has also gotten very good at faking this over the seasons.
