While on a trip with his family, General Talbot gets a call from the Agents of SHIELD warning him about an upcoming attack by Carl Creel. During his attack, Creel pulls a ball and chain off a stanchion to use as a weapon. In the comics, this is his character’s signature look as The Absorbing Man.

This Washington, DC, looking scene was shot at the Exposition Park Rose Garden in Los Angeles, just across the street from the University of Southern California.
