May continues to follow Creel until he stops at a roadside cafe to get a bite to eat. Inside, he accidentally infects a waitress with the power of the Diviner that he previously touched.

The real-life Halfway House Cafe in Santa Clarita was used for this Delaware diner. This sequence includes another of the strange geographic flubs committed by the production. The emergency vehicles seen in the bottom image include a police car bearing the Delaware State Police shield (albeit a mirror image), but the ambulance is part of the “Sauganash Fire Dept,” which is actually a county in Illinois!
