With a theory that nexus events cannot be caused within an already active apocalypse event, Loki and Mobius travel to Pompeii in 79 AD to test their hypothesis.
For the limited recreation of the doomed town, the production built a set at Trilith Studios in Fayetteville, GA (as seen by the behind the scenes image from the “Loki | Behind the Scenes” video on YouTube). The shot of Mt. Vesuvius in the background is based on imagery of Mt. St. Helens and its eruption from 1980 in Washington State.
