I guess this means Jessica has a stepfather now.

When first introduced in episode 5, it’s unclear where this location is. All the audience sees is the woman (who pretended to be Dr. Leslie Hansen in episode 3), who has been killing people in the city, playing piano, and occasionally having anger issues. The full story is revealed in the following episode, where Jessica gets the home address for Dr. Karl Malus, taking a cab out to the property. She discovers more than she expected, finding that the mysteriously strong woman is her mother. The In-Universe address for this house is 21 Shore Rd, Bayville. 

The real address of the property is not too far from the fictitious one. Its actual location is on Madison Avenue in Bayville. The basement, where much of the beginning of episode 8 takes place, appears to have been built on a soundstage.
