Power Plant
Establishing shots of Pacoima, located in the northeast corner of the San Fernando Valley, play out in advance of Simon and Trevor arriving at Simon’s childhood home.
The first shot is of the Department of Water and Power Valley Generating Station, off Sheldon Street and San Fernando Road, in Sun Valley.

The aptly named Pacoima Gas Station (pictured above) is next up.
No visual effects were used on this gas station. Pacoima Gas is a real station at Van Nuys Boulevard and Haddon Avenue in Pacoima.

Danny Trejo Mural
The camera drives past a mural of Hispanic actor Danny Trejo. This is the closest he’s come to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he did voice the character Ox in an episode of the animated Spectacular Spider-Man.
This mural is also really in Pacoima. No visual effects needed. Trejo was born in Maywood and raised in Echo Park, not Pacoima. But there must be some fans in the area to make a mural for him, located at 13349 Van Nuys Boulevard.

Superior Tile
A shot of a giant genie holding the sign proclaiming Superior Tile continues to set the stage.
Unfortunately, this is another non-Pacoima shot, coming from the corner of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Hart Street in North Hollywood. Sometime after July 2024, Superior Tile changed its name and became Tile Decor.

A final shot along a street shows off the San Gabriel Mountains.
This is a few miles north of Superior Tile, also on Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Stagg Street, in North Hollywood.
