This was filmed at a lot that is carved out just for this type of thing, located at 3115 Canyon Lake Drive, in the Hollywood Hills.

This theater, located at 6838 Hollywood Boulevard, was purchased and rehabilitated by the Walt Disney Company in the 1980s, and reopened with the 1991 premiere of The Rocketeer.
