Father, I need absolution. I’ve betrayed people. I’ve betrayed myself.
Episode 2 begins with an unexpected visitor to Matt’s church, Bullseye. He’s looking for a nun by the name of Sister Maggie and some absolution. Episode 4 has Matt visiting the church, looking for Ben Poindexter, and discovering he lives just across the street.
The beautiful stained glass in this sequence belongs to the Church of the Holy Trinity at 316 E 88th Street in the Upper East Side. This is a different church from several that served as Matt’s church in the original Netflix Daredevil series. It’s also a different church from the one seen in Season 1, which might have been meant to be Matt’s church–or it could have just been one he was walking by.

Matt’s Radar Sense
After the seminarian tells Matt about his visitor, Matt uses his radar sense to hone in on where Poindexter lives, which is immediately across the street.
The aspect ratio of the episode narrows as Matt stretches out with his senses. The first thing he “sees” is the bell tower of the Church, also filmed outside the Church of the Holy Trinity.
The next location Matt sees is this plaza, which is Kimlau Square (and the War Memorial) in Chinatown, as seen from the corner of Mott and Worth Streets.

Matt focuses on a street corner near Mott Street. This is on Worth Street, looking East, past the Ali Baba Organic Market sign towards Kimlau Square in Chinatown.

His senses then take him towards a bunch of buildings, where he is looking east on E Broadway from Kimlau Square.

Matt’s senses finally come to rest on the exterior of Dex’s apartment building, which is located literally across the street from the church’s filming location, at 331 E 88th Street.
