A brief exterior shot establishes the Birch Psychiatric Hospital. In reality, the piece of stock footage is actually the old Brooklyn House of Detention, at 275 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. The shot was taken from the State Street side of the building. The building has since been torn down, sometime after May 2022.

The interior of the facility appears to be a real location, but not one that has been discovered.
