Do you need, like, a Band-Aid or a ice pack or somethin’?

Riri experiences catastrophic failure as her Ironheart armor’s AI, TRVOR, gets locked out. She crashes unceremoniously onto a Chicago street.

The initial scenes of the falling and the crashing were filmed on E. 79th Street in Chicago. This is just outside the Avalon Regal Theater, a famous African-American music hall originally built in 1927.

She then picks herself up, with whatever armor is left, and does a walk of shame along the sidewalk past several storefronts and passersby. She meets young Landon in front of Mars Barber Shop, who offers to help her home with her suit, for a price. Riri finds the young boy here again in episode 2.

All of the businesses and storefronts shown in this sequence, along with Riri’s walk of shame, are along E. 75th Street (between S. Prairie and S. Calumet Avenues) in Chicago, a few blocks from the crash. The Barber Shop is at 334 E 75th St, along with Sim’s Cleaners at 327, the bus stop in front of 307, Brown Sugar Bakery at 328, and a storefront at 319.
