Uncle Elias Morrow? Doing time at South Ridge Penitentiary?
There are a few jails and detention centers in the Los Angeles area that allow film productions. With this episode, Agents of SHIELD has used them all. The Mira Loma Detention Center in Lancaster was utilized for the entirety of the penitentiary sequences in episodes 4 and 5.
EXTERIOR
Episode 4 provides the first look at the exteriors of the prison as Mack and Coulson get ready to leave after speaking with Eli Morrow. They spot Robbie’s black Charger and give chase. In episode 5, Daisy and Mack lead a squad of Agents into the prison after landing on the basketball court in the containment pod.
CELL BLOCK E
Eli’s cell is mentioned as being in cell block E when he is retrieved for a visit with Agent Coulson.
VISITOR ROOM
Coulson and later Robbie visit with Eli in the penitentiary’s visitor room.
WARDEN GREEN’S OFFICES
Coulson and May visit with the Warden in episode 5, only to come under fire from the officers who have been infected by Lucy’s madness.
CELL BLOCK D/A
The SHIELD Agents must make their way through several dangerous cell blocks, some of which have their inmates rioting. Both block D and A appear to have been filmed in the same spot, with the giant letter signs having been swapped out.
GENERATOR ROOM
Robbie and Mack investigate the generator room and bust some ghosts in the process.
CAFETERIA
Coulson, May, and Daisy evade rioting prisoners by ducking into the cafeteria. They are followed by the inmates, and Daisy locks the other two Agents out to defeat the prisoners on her own. May and Coulson eventually return to the kitchen to help Daisy.
STAIRWELL
Coulson and May run downstairs after being locked out of the cafeteria.
GARBAGE ROOM
Coulson suggests climbing up the garbage chute to return to the cafeteria and help Daisy.
