My mother died when I was young.

Flashbacks of Elektra as a child still haunt the adult version. She remembers swimming in a pool and finding her mother dead, apparently at the hands of a demon. She finally confronts her past by returning to her family’s mansion, where she battles Kirigi.

Pool & Rear of Mansion

The first location seen in a flashback is the pool, with its distinctive skylight. This location is a house on SW Marine Drive, called Rio Vista. A shot in the present day of a walkway (with Ninja!) at the rear of the mansion was also filmed here. It has been used for many films and television shows shot in the Vancouver area.

Exteriors & Inteteriors

For the exteriors of the mansion, along with the entry way, stairs, and mother’s room, a property just down the street was used. This is Casa Mia, also on SW Marine Drive. It has been seen in several films and shows, including 50 Shades of Grey.

Main Room

The main room could honestly be from a third mansion in the Vancouver area, but it seems more like a soundstage location, due to the stunts and effects work that were done in Elektra’s fight with Kirigi.
