In another cut scene, that only appears in the Director’s Cut, Bullseye takes an escalator into the airport before passing through a security checkpoint with a ludicrous amount of metal on his person.
The skylight in the opening to this sequence does very much feel like something that might be found in an airport–unfortunately not one in Southern California. It also looks like the covering for the escalators at Universal Studios, which it is also not. What else might look like this in the LA area? Malls, of course. The satellite view of the Westside Pavillion on W. Pico doesn’t show it now, but this mall used to have a full-length skylight across it. The escalator seen here leads up to the 3rd floor. A photo taken from the top of the escalator looking backwards can be seen here. Note the lights on the side of the escalators which match to the ones in the footage below.
