Season 3 of Daredevil opens with a battered and half-dead Matt Murdock being flushed out of a sewer pipe after suffering the collapse of a building upon him at the conclusion of The Defenders season 1. A kind taxi driver finds the body and takes Matt to some people who can help.

The production filmed this heartbreaking scene in the lot at the end of Noble Street in Greenpoint. Several other sequences for the Netflix shows have been filmed from this location, but not necessarily from this perspective. The apartment complex at 26 West Street can be seen behind the cab driver in one shot.
