After landing in The Void, Wade and Logan are captured and taken to the creepy base of Cassandra Nova, who inhabits the dead husk of Giant-Man.
It was originally presumed that the scenes filmed in the courtyard of Nova’s base were shot at the backlot of Pinewood Studios outside London. But thanks to the eagle eye of Michael S., who discovered some details in an online presentation from supervising art director Tim Blake, which lists “Bovingdon Airfield” as the location for this large set.

For the southwestern US-looking deserts and mesas surrounding that base, it’s unclear where the production got footage from. While there were certainly visual effects involved, it seems like they may have started off with some kind of photographic plate or stock footage.
